Mobile Meal Ministry
A hot meal is provided right in the streets where needs are most prevalent. Every meal is made with love and served with a smile. God has blessed us with an incredible team of volunteers that generally provides our potluck style meal. Sometimes we are blessed by local restaurants in our community that provide the hot meal. Every serve night includes a hot meal option, lunch meat sandwiches, PB&J sandwiches, bananas/oranges, chips, dessert, and drinks. Additionally, every person is given a "cracker pack" which includes some essentials that help them get through the week.

It always less about what is on the table and more about who is around it. Food is the vessel that builds relationships as we serve with kindness and spend time getting to know our friends by listening to stories, sharing hopes & dreams, and discovering what needs lay on their hearts.
We meet them right where they are, because that is exactly what Jesus did for us. That is why we say...

Provide a Meal​​
mobile shower ministry
Could you imagine going days, weeks, or months without a shower? This was the reality of our friends until our Mobile Shower Ministry showed up in the streets.
​
The Mobile Shower trailer is a "one stop shop" to restore dignity and bring hope! They begin in the Giving Closet to pick out a clean outfit with brand new undergarments. If a barber is in the house, they get a fresh haircut. Then they make their way around to the showers to stock up on needed hygiene items and jump in the hot shower with separate facilities for men and women.
​
There is a complete transformation that happens within this ministry. Our friends walk in one way - dirty and carrying the weight of the world - and come out completely different way - refreshed, clean, confident. hearing the words, "That felt amazing!" NEVER gets old!
​
We believe the real transformation comes from the healing water of Jesus Christ. That is why we say...

share the gospel
While services are NOT dependent on listening to the message, partaking in communion, or being a believer in Jesus Christ, our friends will always know that we don't come out to serve in our strength or for our own glory, but only because of and for Jesus Christ.
​
Serve night begins with a message from The Word, given with grace & truth and done in love. That is followed with, anyone that desires to, partaking in communion together. Typically, one of our friends on the street will bless the food and then meal is served, showers are started, and fellowship begins!
​
​Last year, our friends were asking for deeper teaching of The Word, they were hungry and seeking something more in this life. We get to be with them for two hours out of the week...they need Jesus every hour! As a result, the "Deep Roots Gathering" began...an in the streets bible study where volunteers and friends sit together and see what The Word says about our struggles, questions, and misconceptions. It is beautiful to watch the growth in our collective walks with the Lord!
Discipleship goes beyond our friends. We all need discipleship where we can be open, honest, authentic. Our volunteers gather for Bible Study together in addition to serving in the streets.

collaborate with resources
We know that we can't be all things for all people but our heart is to collaborate with others that are doing "it" well. We invite community resources to connect with us so we can refer our friends to your services and/or join us in the streets to bring awareness of what is available to our friends. We believe that when our friends build relationships with the local resources, they will be more likely to reach out in their time of need. We are beyond grateful for all the connections and relationships that we have built with our resource partners. The testimonies of friends getting the services they need and ultimately getting off the streets are incredible!!

Although we know we can't do ALL things, we strive to do EVERY thing we can! We truly do life with our friends, walking alongside them. Sometimes that means stretching ourselves, sacrificing some things, and bringing our gifts and talents to the parking lots where the needs are.
​
You will regularly see our team going above and beyond for our friends. That may mean providing transportation for vital appointments, fixing bicycles so they can get to work, gathering donations to meet specific needs, making sure they are ready for a job interview, and other services as they arise.

Society seems to think that in order to receive services or obtain basic needs, you have to get your life together first. We think differently. We believe that when basic needs are met, they are surrounded by support and love, have easy access to resources, are taught skills, and can walk in their God-given purpose, gifts, and talents, true transformation can happen.
Gardens, shops, cafes, an entrepreneur hub, an artisan market, trade skills, and other jobs will be available to empower purpose and create means for a dignified income. Homes will be rented so more dignity can be restored. Resource partners will have space at the community to further meet needs and provide a hand up. "Missionals" will live throughout the community to provide support and discipleship. Skills will be taught rather than rules enforced so success can be reached.
​
We seek to create a community where people can heal and thrive! We know it won't be four walls and roof that saves people. It's the safety and community that is found when you are HOME that will.
​
